The problem

The utility needed its water department and other facilities in one place.

The water department, moved to one place on the river.

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities needed its water department and other facilities in one central location on the riverfront. The answer was an addition to the utility’s existing offices, an earlier project by the same architects.

The new space is 20,000 square feet on two levels. The lower level is a truck maintenance facility. The upper level holds administrative and maintenance offices.

From the street it is a long, low building of brick and metal siding under a green metal roof, with a covered entry at each section.
