An existing building, put back to work.

Southern Tier Family Dentistry needed a new branch office on Fairmount Avenue in Jamestown. Instead of starting from scratch, the practice took a building that had been a bank, and a fast food restaurant before that, and gave it a new use.

The firm reworked the floor plan, the outside and the entrances so the building reads as a dental office. Inside, that meant a waiting room and front office that work for patients, treatment rooms laid out with the dental equipment suppliers, a break room, and offices for the dentists. Mitchener Construction built it, and the office opened in 2023.

It is the same idea behind the firm’s historic work downtown: a building that is already standing can often do a new job.
