A historic lake cottage, added to in its own style.

The house is a historic lake cottage in Bemus Point: stone and stucco walls, steep roofs, a tall chimney. The work was a large addition and new exterior landscaping.

Care was taken to match the look of the original cottage while adding up to date rooms that face the lake. Inside, the house has an open kitchen under a wood plank ceiling, a primary bedroom under exposed wood roof beams, and windows that look out to the water.

The garage was added to as well. Its addition repeats the steep roof of the original.
